Fresh out of the halftime break, the Rockets special teams would score as punt returner Sammy Amnah would take it 70 yards to the house.
The defense would force another turnover with an interception from Brae Friesner. Friesner wouldn’t be done as he takes a receiver screen from 69 yards out to the end zone. After a missed PAT, the score would be 27-7 all Rockets.
The party wouldn’t stop for Berne Union as Connor Godenschwager would get an interception. But turnovers continued to be an issue for the Rockets though, as they would fumble on the first play.
The Warriors wouldn’t go away. A slant pass to WR Adam Dunson would be completed for a touchdown, giving Worthington Christian a spark of hope, 27-14.
On the ensuing onside kick, the Warriors would recover. For the first time that night, the juices were flowing for the Warrior offense and the Worthington Christian crowd. They would drive all the way to the end zone but would ultimately turn the ball over on 4th and goal.
Berne Union would put this game away with touchdowns from Ian Staten and Brae Friesner. The Rockets would take a 40-14 win in Worthington.
