ATHENS, Ohio — TikTok star and Barstool Sports employee Brianna Chickenfry made a special appearance in Athens this past weekend for her first College Dropout Tour. Brianna Lapaglia, also known as Brianna Chickenfry, started her career on TikTok by giving advice on school, partying and dating.

The 22-year-old from Boston posted content that quickly made her become a social media influencer representing Barstool Sports. The digital media company hired Chickenfry as an intern, but based on her success, was hired as a full-time employee shortly after.

Chickenfry and Barstool Sports announced they will be hosting a College Dropout Tour where Chickenfry will attend multiple universities. Universities that get to experience the tour include:

  • West Virginia State University
  • University Of Miami
  • Ohio University
  • Clemson
  • Ohio State University
  • Florida State University

The social media star planned a series of events throughout the city. Some of these events included a meet-and-greet, merchandise pop-up and parties where tickets could be purchased that were hosted by different houses and bars.

JBar employee and Chickenfry fan Rachel McFaul said she was shocked with the bar’s atmosphere while Chickenfry was in town.

“It was interesting to see how it was different with her there,” McFaul said. “It was crazy and the most packed I have ever seen it. The top of JBar was exclusive so I couldn’t get up there but I could see her from the bottom and she would wave over and like pump her arms at us. I remember making eye contact with her which felt really cool.”

Crowds spilled into the streets of Athens as students tried to see Chickenfy, and if they were lucky, get a picture with her.

Not only did Chickenfry bring a huge crowd to Athens, but the local bars saw their liquor sales spike for the weekend.

Courtside employee Emma Hauschild said it was almost the busiest she had ever seen at the bar.

“We had to call in our full staff on Friday morning and we never have to do that. It is usually only one or two people working,” Hauschild said. “Our liquor sales were way higher than they usually are, too.”

Chickenfry is continuing her College Drop Out tour, leaving Clemson University to be up next.
