It was the Lancers third game in as many days and they were coming off a 54-26 victory at Miller.
The Lancers could not come up with the same success in this game however. They came out strong as they played well and had an 11 to seven lead at the end of the first quarter. Larissa McDaniel led the scoring in the first hitting four free throws.
In the second quarter only one player scored for Fed Hock. Kyndal Snedden had all five points. The lancers continued to play good defense though and held Wahama to only four points and took a 16-11 lead into halftime.
In the third quarter is when the White Falcons came alive. They hit four threes in the third quarter. Freshman Elissa Hoffman had two, Amber Wolfe and Lauren Noble each had one. They had 14 total in the quarter and took a 25-22 lead into the final quarter.
In the final eight minutes neither team could string together very many baskets. Noble hit two clutch free throws with seconds left to give Wahama the 33-28 win. It is just the White Falcons second win of the season.
Three pointers were the Achilles heel for the Lancers. They shot 22 of them but only converted on two of them as they finished 9% from beyond the arc. After the 11-point first quarter they posted quarters with five, six, and six. The Lancers also struggled from the free throw line, they finished 8-18.
The bright spot for the Lancers was Snedden who came off the bench in the second quarter. She finished the night with eight points, five rebounds, and was able to give coach Amos Cottrill valuable minutes playing in the middle of the Wahama 2-3 zone.
Federal Hocking will play for the fourth day in a row on Thursday night as they welcome in Belpre for the Lancers senior night. They will honor seniors Reagan Jeffers, Brennah Jarvis, and Alexis Smith.
