Buckeyes turnover troubles against Portsmouth leads to Sectional Semifinals loss

The Trojans got off quickly as they went out and hit back-to-back threes to start the game. And that was only the beginning as for the rest of the first half the Trojan offense was elite as they left the first half 7/13 from three.
The Trojans in the first half forced many turnovers and they took huge advantage of the turnovers by scoring a lot off turnovers.
Entering the half, Portsmouth had a commanding 47-22 lead.
The second half for the Buckeyes featured a lot of quick transition offense as they were quick and it led to easy layups. The turnovers for NY was a huge problem with the Trojan defense getting a lot of steals, the Trojans were able to force 23 turnovers in the game.
Portsmouth’s defense was extremely overwhelming with their half court press and their height advantage also helped defensively.
Portsmouth senior Dariyonne Bryant had a huge night as he dropped 20 points. DeAndre Berry was an absolute sharpshooter too he went 5-6 from three and he got 17 points. Kemmy Sanderlin also was a big contributor in the game he went for 14 points and six rebounds in the game.
For the Buckeyes, their season is over. They’ll regroup and work towards the season next year. The Portsmouth Trojans will be hitting the road and play OVC rival South Point.
