Ohio Ready to Learn

March Workshop Series

We are closing in on completing our workshops for 2023. If you haven’t joined us yet, there is still time. If you are interested in a session please register soon. Workshops with less than 5 participants will be rescheduled. We have lots of fun materials and PBS resources to share with you.

Virtual attendees will receive workshop materials and books in the mail after workshop completion. In-person participants will have the opportunity to network with other providers, create materials for your program, and receive books and other materials to support the topics from the workshop. Participants who attend three of WOUB’s sessions will be entered into a drawing for one of 10 Kindle Fire Tablets preloaded with PBS Kids games and apps.

Storymaker recently added a new Media Wise Tool Kit designed to teach media literacy skills and a new Pitch Page teaching the importance of a pitching ideas and how to do it effectively.

In March our course will focus on two of the PBS Media Literacy Microcredentials; Creating a Code of Conduct and Critically Analyzing Media. Our Google class has started and there are great resources for you to use to complete the PBS Media Literacy credentials and learn best practices for teaching our students to become media literate.

The Ohio Learns 360 project has some new additions. You can find the list of upcoming family webinars as well as links to previous webinars in English and Spanish.
