ATHENS, OH – WOUB’s two new 24/7 online streaming audio channels are now available on your smart speaker. You can play the Bluegrass stream by saying “Play WOUB’s D 28 + 5 on iHeartRadio” or you can play the Jazz stream by saying “Play WOUB’s All This Jazz on iHeartRadio.”

The two 24/7 streaming channels launched in March and were available on the WOUB website and the WOUB App.  Now, the streams can also be found on the iHeartRadio app.

“We’re excited that our Jazz and Bluegrass streams are on the iHeartRadio app, and because of that, they can be played on smart speakers,” said WOUB Director of Radio Rusty Smith. “These streams are valuable services, and we know people will want to be able to listen to them on their smart speakers.”

Smith says people in this region enjoy both Bluegrass and Jazz music and WOUB has a vast library of digitized music in both genres to program both the D28 + 5 stream and the All This Jazz stream. Having the streams on iHeartRadio allows us to reach an even bigger audience.

“Our Jazz and Bluegrass library is unique and we know fans of both genres in our region and beyond will enjoy the streams when they discover them on iHeartRadio.”

The streams can also still be found on WOUB’s On-Demand page, which also has direct links to the radio and television schedules, current content from PBS and NPR sources, as well as WOUBs local content. Users will also find easy access to their WOUB Passport account, and the page highlights new content available on Passport and current Passport favorites.

Listeners can access the streams by visiting woub.org/ondemand. The streams are also available on the WOUB Public Media app.
