This Saturday’s show is a double feature with a buffet dinner (catered by Purple Chopstix) starting with a 1944 Live radio drama of an episode of Inner Sanctum Mysteries. The voice actors will be accompanied by James on organ and will also feature live Foley artists providing all the sound effects. After an intermission the 1929 silent film Sherlock Jr will be shown on the big screen with James on the organ.
Executive Director of SE Ohio History Center Jessica Cyders says the organ practically brings the building to life when James plays it. James has performed at the history center before. in 2021, Dennis James accompanied the 1922 silent film, Nosferatu, A Symphony of Horrors and in 2019, Hunchback of Notre Dame silent film.
