Federal Hocking Holds Lead To Dominate Wahama
< < Back to federal-hocking-holds-lead-to-dominate-wahamaFederal Hocking held a huge lead in the first quarter with 16 unmatched points and led the entire game, and the Lady Lancers clutched their first win 57-21 on the road against Wahama.
The Lady White Falcons could not keep the ball in their possession and nearly equaled their total score of 21 points as they ended in 19 turnovers, essentially giving Federal Hocking 38 of its points.
Destiny Tabler capitalized on the turnovers scoring 11 points, with nine of those from behind the arc. Audrey Blake contributed with eight points and various assist attempts.
However, Federal Hocking coach Jeremy Tolson expressed there’s still plenty to work on.
“Any win’s a plus, but they were pretty sloppy,” Tolson said.
The Lady Lancers evidently were too aggressive and gave Wahama 25 shots at the line. Luckily for Federal Hocking, the Lady White Falcons only made nine of those shots.
Fortunately its fouls did not hurt them this game but heading into the season, it’ll need to slow down and re-work its ball handling and passing game.
Coach Tolson noted that the win is great fuel for their season.
The Lady Lancers were not only unstoppable on offense but also held solid defense that looked promising throughout the season.
The road for both squads won’t be any easier as Federal Hocking will travel to TVC-Ohio Powerhouse Alexander on Saturday, and Wahama will take on TVC-Hocking Powerhouse Waterford on Monday.
