Campbell Named MAC East Player of the Week

Campbell starred for the Bobcats and helped lead the team to a 2-0 record this past week. He averaged a team-high 27.0 points and also reeled in 12.5 rebound per game. The big man shot a ridiculou 70.0 percent from the field for the week including going 6-7 from behind the arc.
All 26 points he scored last Tuesday against Ball State were important as he helped the team sneak by the Cardinals on the road 72-69. On Friday, Campbell put up 28 points in a Bobcat scoring barrage against Buffalo that helped lead the team to a 94-75 blowout win.
Campbell not only had an outstanding game scoring against Buffalo, but he also had a great game on the boards, snagging 15 rebounds. In fact, he had already recorded his 12th double-double of the season before the end of the first half.
On the year, Campbell is leading the team with 17.0 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per game. The Bobcats will take on Eastern Michigan on Tuesday, February 16 at 7 p.m. in Athens.
