Schools Delayed With Bitterly Cold Temperatures
< < Back to ?p=15587Tri-County Career Center, Athens City, Nelsonville-York, and Trimble schools were all on a two-hour delay Wednesday morning as temperatures in some parts of the region dipped below zero.
A wind-chill advisory remained in effect through noon.
Despite the temperatures the weather forecast was calling for mostly sunny skies Wednesday morning but then becoming mostly cloudy.
The high temperature was not expected to get out of the teens Wednesday.
A 50 percent chance of snow is expected with lows around eight above and wind-chill values as low as eight below zero.
