Man Charged With Murder In Gallia County Homicide Case
< < Back to man-charged-murder-gallia-county-murder-caseA man who was a person of interest in a homicide investigation in Gallia County has now been charged with murder.
According to WSAZ, 44-year-old David Brewster of Gallia County was set to appear in Gallia County Municipal Court on a theft charge in connection with the case. Prior to the hearing, he was also charged with murdering 29-year-old Daniel Day.
Day was found dead in his home on Clay Chapel Road in on April 8.
Two days later, Brewster was arrested and charged with theft, accused of taking Day's truck.
According to the criminal complaint filed Wednesday, Day and Brewster had been in contact in the days prior to Day's death. The Sheriff's Office says that Day and Brewster had an ongoing dispute, believed to be over property.
When Brewster was arrested, he had a gun that belonged to Day in his possession.
In a pretrial hearing Wednesday, Brewster's case was bound over to the grand jury.
