ATHENS, OH — The Mid-American Conference has a new all-time wins King, and that man is Frank Solich and boy did he do it in style. Seven different Bobcats scored a touchdown against Bowling Green as Ohio scored a season-high 66 points in their blowout win over the Falcons.

“We definitely feel like this is the way we are capable of playing and we’re hoping to get more performances plural, coming up after this week,” quarterback Nathan Rourke said.
Rourke hinting about Ohio getting to play in a possible bowl game. One thing that is for sure — the Ohio offense was on another planet — Ohio scored nine touchdowns that featured one explosive play after another.
“The way our offensive line has moved teams this year, I wasn’t surprised by the big runs,” Rourke said. “As explosive as we are in the slot and at receiver, I was not surprised we were able to get that wide open. So it was good to see some guys get in the end zone and points on the board. Whenever you put up 66 points on a division I team, that’s something to be proud of.”
O’Shaan Allison ran wild on the Falcons — he had 12 carries, 175 yards and three touchdowns. He set the tone for Ohio.
“It meant everything (to have a big game),” running back O’Shaan Allison said. “I haven’t had one of those type of nights in a while, so it felt really good. I was feeling confident out there. (Bowling Green’s) defense was aggressive and the backside was open a lot of the time. The offensive line played lights out.”
Four Ohio running backs scored in the game — Allison, Julian Ross, DeMontre Tuggle, Ja’Vahri Portis — they accounted for six-of the-nine Bobcat touchdowns.
“That’s amazing, I don’t think I’ve seen that before in football when four running backs score in a game,” Allison said. “It’s a really good feeling and something that we’re going to remember.”
Ohio’s offense should keep humming against a win-less Akron Zips team next Tuesday Nov. 26.
