Here are the 2024 general election results for Belmont County
< < Back to ?p=334526BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WOUB) – According to unofficial results, 69.45 percent of registered voters in Belmont County cast ballots in the 2024 general election.
Voters in the county supported Republican Donald J. Trump for president with 73 percent of the vote, followed by Democrat Kamala Harris with 26 percent.
In the race for U.S. Senate, Belmont County voters preferred Republican Bernie Moreno with 65 percent of the vote followed by Democrat Sherrod Brown with 31 percent.
A majority of Belmont County voters cast ballots against Issue 1 with 67 percent of the vote.
In the race for Belmont County coroner, Republican Amanda Fisher received 21,781 votes to win. Independent Troy Balgo received 5,455 votes.
Voters in Belmont County approved the care of abused, neglected and dependent child levy renewal of 0.45 mills for five years with a vote of 16,934 to 12,505.
Voters in the Union Local School District voted down a bond issue (6.2 mills/20 years) and additional levy (0.5 mill) with a vote of 3,208 to 1,272.
Voters in Kirkwood Township voted down a cemetery additional levy of 1 mill for five years with a vote of 120 to 77. Voters in Kirkwood Township also approved a fire protection levy renewal of 0.5 mill for five years with a vote of 114 to 88.
Voters in Holloway Village approved an emergency squad and fire department levy renewal of 2.5 mills for 5 years with a vote of 71 to 40. Voters in Holloway Village also approved a current expenses levy renewal of 4 mills for 5 years with a vote of 65 to 47.
Voters in St. Clairsville approved three amendments to the city charter.
Voters in Martins Ferry approved an EMS service levy renewal of 3.5 mills for five years with a vote of 1,485 to 715.
Voters in Belmont Village approved an operating expenses additional levy of 3.5 mills with a vote of 139 to 62.
Voters in Bethesda Village approved an additional police levy of 1.5 mills with a vote of 328 to 206.
Voters in Shadyside approved a current expenses levy renewal of 4.5 mills for five years with a vote of 947 to 753. Votes in Shadyside Village also approved a Shadyside School District operating expenses levy renewal of 5 mills for five years with a vote of 1,388 to 1,134.
Voters in Mead Township approved a road maintenance levy renewal of 1 mill for five years with a vote of 645 to 423.
Voters in Pease Township approved a firefighting levy renewal of 0.5 mill for five years with a vote of 1,048 to 710. Voters in Pease Township also approved a Fire Department No. 2 levy replacement of 2 mills with a vote of 251 to 176.
Voters in Wayne Township approved a roads and bridges levy renewal of 1.45 mills for five years with a vote of 207 to 160.
Voters in Wheeling Township approved a current expenses levy renewal of 0.75 mill for five years with a vote of 435 to 415. Voters in Wheeling Township also approved a roads and bridges levy renewal of 1.2 mills for five years with a vote of 450 to 396.
Voters in Bridgeport Exempt Village School District approved an operating expenses levy renewal of 6 mills for six years with a vote of 1,364 to 1,134.
Voters in Yorkville approved three levies: a current expenses levy renewal of 1 mill for five years; a current expenses levy renewal of 1.5 mills for five years; and a storm sewage maintenance levy of 1.5 mills for five years.
