Trial Set For Juvenile Suspect In Craigslist Murder Case
< < Back toAn Oct. 9 trial has been set for an Ohio teen charged with helping a man kill one victim and try to kill another in a deadly Craigslist robbery scheme.
A Summit County judge set the date Wednesday for 17-year-old Brogan Rafferty.
He pleaded not guilty last week to aggravated murder and attempted murder charges originally brought in Noble County, where the case unfolded last year.
He's suspected of helping 52-year-old Richard Beasley of Akron, who has been described as the teen's mentor. They allegedly lured victims with bogus Craigslist job offers.
Beasley has pleaded not guilty and could face the death penalty if convicted. As a juvenile, Rafferty cannot.
Rafferty also faces juvenile court charges in the deaths of two other victims.
