Companies Join Together To Establish Marietta Water-Pumping Station
< < Back toGood River Distribution will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday for a new water-pumping station along the Ohio River in Marietta.
The organization is a joint effort by Eramet Marietta, Solvay Advanced Polymers, America's Styrenics and Energizer Battery Corporation.
The businesses joined together to develop the station as a way to ensure the supply of service water necessary for operations.
The $12 million project began in December after AMP-Ohio closed its Marietta power-generating facility that supplied the four companies access to river water.
This project was funded by Eramet Marietta, state grants and The Southeastern Ohio Port Authority.
