Rockslide Closes US 52 In Lawrence County
< < Back to ?p=4455A rockslide in Lawrence County Tuesday night has closed one of the westbound lanes of US 52 near the Ashland bridge.
Coal Grove Police say about 30 feet of rock face is in danger of falling, and a 12-foot rock already has fallen.
No one was hurt.
The state has requested that the one westbound lane be closed until further notice.
The Ohio Highway Department has notified a contractor who is on his way to assess the situation.
Along with Coal Grove Police, firefighters from the Coal Grove and Upper Township volunteer fire departments responded to the scene.
