July 20th – Johnny’s in the Basement

Long time members of the Athens music scene for over 40 years, the trio plays a wide mix of material. Johnny’s in the Basement features the singing of Mimi Hard and Jim Smailes, and the guitar playing of John Borchard and Jim. Songs as diverse as those penned by Woody Guthrie, NRBQ, Steve Earle, Jules Shear, Warren Zevon, Bob Dylan, and Ricky Nelson, among others, provide the foundation for an entertaining and interesting musical evening.

Doors open at 5:30pm, a cash bar and food by Mauvette will be available.
