The Bobcats powered past the Bowling Green Falcons in their first meet of the season, winning 168-121. It was evident that the ‘Cats were there to win after stealing the top spots in the first five events of the day.

100-yard breaststroke swimmer Tori Bagan and one- and three-meter divers Morgan Srail and Haleigh Bartlett all achieved top-ten scores, making tonight’s meeting against the Falcons a historical performance.

Bagan swam the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:03.93 and was recorded in the record books as the 5th best time, while Srail’s dive score of 261.3 took 10th place in the books and Bartlett’s 270.85 took ninth.

Head coach Greg Werner said that one of their goals is to “find a way to duplicate the comfortable experience when we’re at home, on the road.” It was evident that they achieved this feat today.

The ‘Cats start the season with a 1-0 record. They are on the road again Saturday, where they will face off against Eastern Michigan.
