New Philadelphia City School District passed a 5.9 mill, 5-year renewal tax levy 55 percent to 45 percent. This will be the fifth time the levy has been renewed, most recently in 2008, and will provide general operating funds for the district without a tax hike.

The City of Uhrichsvilles said no to electric and gas aggregation within the city. Electric aggregation was voted down 53 percent to 47 percent, and gas aggregation was voted down 52 percent to 47 percent. Fairless Local School District did not pass their additional tax levy of 8.9 mill in both Tuscarawas County and Stark County, its first levy in 18 years. The levy would have generated $1,568,000 annually for seven years. In Tuscarawas County, 24 percent voted for the levy and 76 percent voted against. In Stark County, 44 percent voted for the levy while 56 percent voted against.
