Anonymous Tip Leads To Bust Of Active Meth Lab
< < Back to anonymous-tip-leads-bust-active-meth-labAn anonymous tip to the Pike County Sheriff's Office led to the bust of an active meth lab Tuesday night in an abandoned camper on River Road.
Deputies arrested Franklin Taylor II, of Beaver, after speaking to local residents in response to the tip.
Sheriff Richard Henderson says officers searched Taylor's car during a traffic stop and found methamphetamine production materials.
Henderson says the camper, which contained an active meth lab and more production materials, was not far away.
Taylor faces charges of illegal manufacture of methamphetamine, illegal assembly and possession of criminal tools. Taylor is being held in the Scioto County Jail on an $81,000 bond.
The sheriff's office encourages residents to call 740-947-2111 if they notice any suspicious smells or activity in the area.
