Women’s Golf: Ohio’s Megan Weaver Named 2012 MAC Golf Sportswoman of the Year

But, the biggest news for the team came this morning when Megan Weaver was named the 2012 MAC Golf Sportswoman of the Year.
Weaver shot an average of 78.2 per round during the spring season, finishing in the top 20 in four different tournaments.
Weaver carried the Bobcats in the final round of this weekend's MAC Championship, shooting a 77. The senior tied for 19th place in the tournament.
Kara Brinkman finished 23rd for the Bobcats, the sophomore shot a final round score of 82 for Ohio.
Meryl Weaver and Kristen Helmsdoerfer ended the tournament tied for 39th place, and Sarah Tarnell finished 43rd.
Kent State won the tournament in Fishers, Ind., claiming it's 14th straight MAC Championship.
The tournament was the last of the season for Ohio Women's Golf, the Bobcats ended the season with the highest team team GPA in Division I Golf.
