A man accused of using pipe bombs while he robbed a Coolville bank last year has pleaded guilty to a multi-count indictment.

Patrick Slider changed his plea to guilty Tuesday in Athens County Common Pleas Court.

He pleaded guilty to 10 felony counts, including burglary, tampering with evidence and two counts each of aggravated robbery, kidnapping, inducing panic and unlawful use of a hoax weapon of mass destruction.

Athens County Prosecutor Keller Blackburn says Slider planted two fake pipe bombs at Post Offices in Guysville and Stewart to divert law enforcement while he robbed the Coolville bank on July 29, 2011.

Slider was sentenced to a total of 16 years in prison. He is currently serving another prison term in Washington County. The sentences will run concurrently.
