Ohio’s Lake Wins Offensive Player of the Week
< < Back to ohios-lake-wins-offensive-player-of-the-weekOhio redshirt junior Ali Lake was named Mid-American Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Week following a dominant performance on Friday and Saturday.
The middle blocker racked up 17 kills for the Bobcats on Friday night in their sweep against division rivals Akron. The following day, Lake finished off the weekend with 13 more kills in another sweep, this time against the University of Buffalo. Lake’s 30 kills were a team high for the weekend.
Lake now leads the Bobcats with a team-best .500 hitting percentage, as well as in attack percentage [.560] this year.
With these two sweeps, Ohio improved to a record of 6-8, including a 2-0 record in their conference.
Lake and the Bobcats will be on the road this Thursday taking on East Division rivals Miami (OH), who are 10-4 this season.
