CARROLL, Ohio (WOUB) — The rain came down Friday night as the Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs (10-0) hosted the Warren Warriors (3-6) in round one of the OHSAA playoffs. The Bulldogs are the top seeded team in Division IV, Region 15.

Early in the game, Bloom-Carroll established their run game. Chase Plantz busted through the Warren defensive line for a 46-yard game. The Warriors would hold until fourth down when Chase Plantz rushed it in giving the Bulldogs the early 7-0 lead.

Bloom-Carroll would re-take possession after a short punt by Warren. Quarterback K.J. Benedict dropped back and found WR Branyon Dodds for the 10-yard touchdown. Bloom-Carroll would take a 14-0 lead and never look back. The Bulldogs finished the first half up 49-0, and would go on to win by that same score.

Warren was unable to move the ball against the stingy Bulldog defense. Bloom-Carroll only allowed 20 yards of total offense in the first half. They also forced two interceptions, one of which was a pick-six.

Bloom Carroll would do all of its scoring in the first half, and win by a final score of 49-0. They will host Highland next Friday in a rematch from week one — Bloom-Carroll won that game 49-17.
