Here are the unofficial 2022 general election results for Athens County

ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio (WOUB) – Here are the unofficial results for contested races and local issues in Athens County. 

Democrat Lenny Eliason earned a position as County Commissioner with 52% of the vote. Republican Alex J. Burcher earned 36% of the vote. Independent candidate Bill Hayes earned 10% of the vote. 

Republican Jill A.Thompson earned a position as County Auditor with 51% of the vote. Democrat Ric Wasserman earned 48% of the vote. 

Voters in Albany Village voted down a Tax Levy -Current Expense by a vote of 177 to 134. 

Voters in Albany Village approved a Tax Levy – Fire by a vote of 222 to 88  

Voters in Amesville Village approved a Tax Levy – Police by a vote of 59 to 22. 

Voters in Amesville Village approved a Tax Levy – Current Expenses by a vote of 60 to 21 

Voters in Coolville Village voted down a Surrender – Corp Powers by a vote of 125 to 84 

Voters in Jacksonville Village approved a Tax Levy – Current Operating Expenses by a vote of 97 to 47  

Voters in Trimble Village approved a Tax Levy – Perm Improvements 2.8 mills by a vote of 41 to 34 

Voters in Trimble Village approved a Tax Levy – Perm Improvements 3.4 mills by a vote of 40 to 35. 

Voters in Trimble Village approved a Tax Levy – Fire by a vote of 43 to 32 

Voters in Alexander Township approved a Tax Levy – Fire by a vote of 681 to 399 

Voters in Athens Township approved a Tax Levy – Richland Fire by a vote of 1,195 to 297 

Voters in Athens Township approved a Tax Levy – The Plains Fire by a vote of 792 to 299 

Voters in Bern Township approved a Tax Levy – Road by a vote of 137 to 50 

Voters in Canaan Township approved a Tax Levy – Fire by a vote of 593 to 141 

Voters in Canaan Township approved a Tax Levy – Cemeteries by a vote of 506 to 222 

Voters in Dover Township approved a Tax Levy – Road by a vote of 505 to 409 

Voters in Lee Township approved a Tax Levy – Fire by a vote of 575 to 267 

Voters in Lee Township approved a second Tax Levy – Fire by a vote of 553 to 279 

Voters in Lodi Township approved a Tax Levy – Cemeteries by a vote of 392 to 221 

Voters in Lodi Township approved a Tax Levy – Road by a vote of 416 to 198 

Voters in Rome Township approved a Tax Levy – Road by a vote of 303 to 134 

Voters in Waterloo Township approved a Tax Levy – Road by a vote of 559 to 275 

Voters in York Township approved a Tax Levy – Fire by a vote of 604 to 188
