About the Renée Stewart Band
• The Renée Stewart Band is: Renée Stewart on lead vocals, Dustin Nash on guitar, Phil Ohlinger on keys, Lyle Moon on bass, Phil Moon on backing vocals, and Sean Walton on drums.
• Makin’ Love and Runnin’ Wild was recorded in Athens, OH at Amish Electric Chair Studios with producer Neil Tuuri.
• The Renée Stewart Band celebrated the release of Makin’ Love and Runnin’ Wild with a special ‘release party’ show at the Court Grill in June 2024.
• Marshall Super Lead amps are key to The Renée Stewart Band’s sound. These amps became the “go-to” rock ‘n’ roll amps after Jimi Hendrix stacked four of them together for his legendary set at Woodstock 1969.
• The Renée Stewart Band draws a lot of inspiration from Sister Rosetta Tharpe, an electric-guitar toting gospel singer who electrified audiences throughout the early 20th century.
