Lancers leave no doubt in dominating win over Raiders

STEWART, Ohio (WOUB) – The Federal Hocking Lady Lancers put on a show Monday night, dominating the Morgan Raiders with a commanding 65-33 victory. In the opening tip-off, the Lancers took control, showcasing their teamwork and aggressive defense.
Brenlee Cottrill was the star of the night, lighting up the scoreboard with 26 points. Cottrill got a majority of her points from layups. Takira Walker added 13 points to the mix, while Mckayla Nelson chipped in 12, both playing key roles in the Lancers’ explosive offense.
The Raiders struggled to find their rhythm as the Lancers’ defense smothered their scoring chances. By halftime, Federal Hocking had built a double-digit lead and continued to strengthen their lead over the next two periods.
With this dominating win, the Lancers continue to prove they’re a force to be reckoned with this season.
Walker stated after the game, “I’m really excited. I think this is definitely one of the times we’ll get the farthest and it’ll be really fun.”
Up next, they’ll look to carry this momentum into their next matchup when they travel to Southern High School to play the Tornadoes this Thursday at 7PM. The Raiders will travel to Duncan Falls to play the Philo Electrics at 7:30PM this Wednesday the 29th.
