OU Alums Have Big Plans For Old School Building
< < Back to ou-alums-have-big-plans-old-school-buildingOhio University alum and Cardinal Health founder Robert Walter and his wife want to convert an old school into the second-largest home in Columbus.
The Columbus Dispatch reports the plan will transform the former St. Mary's School in German Village into a 13,250-square-foot-residence.
Walter's business partner, George Bennett tells the Dispatch most of the exterior of the building would remain the same with the interior remodeled for residential use. The 37-space parking lot would be made into a lawn and garden.
The 126-year-old building has also housed several offices since it closed as a school in 1968.
