A man faces multiple felony charges after repeatedly ramming or attempting to ram police cruisers Friday morning.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said that Brian Rawlins was stopped at 12:39 AM on US 52 near Portsmouth.

When the Trooper got out of his car the report says Rawlins rammed the car with his truck so it could not be driven.

Rawlins drove away.

A second Trooper stopped Rawlins and once again the car was rammed putting it out of commission as Rawlins resumed driving on US 52.

Two New Boston police officers joined in the pursuit and once again Rawlins smashed one of those cars disabling it.

A fourth attempt to stop Rawlins was made near mile post 29.

He attempted to hit two other patrol cars.

He made it to mile post 28 where he attempted to hit another patrol car but slid off the roadway where another patrol car blocked him from escaping.

Rawlins was forcibly removed from the truck and arrested.

A New Boston police officer and a Trooper with the Ohio State Patrol were injured.

Both received treatment at Southern Ohio Medical Center and released.

Rawlins is in the Scioto County Jail.
