Here are the 2024 general election results for Vinton County

VINTON COUNTY, Ohio (WOUB) – According to unofficial results, 68 percent of registered voters in Vinton County cast ballots in the 2024 general election. 

Voters in the county supported Republican Donald Trump for president with 79 percent of the vote, followed by Democrat Kamala Harris with 20 percent. 

In the race for U.S. Senate, Vinton County voters preferred Republican Bernie Moreno with 72 percent of the vote followed by Democrat Sherrod Brown with 24 percent. 

A majority of Vinton County voters cast ballots against Issue 1 with 70 percent of the vote. 

In the race for Judge of the Court of Common Pleas Laina Rogers received 2,508 votes to win. James Payne received 2,304 votes. 

In the race for County Commissioner, Republican Jeffery Harper received 4,162 votes to win. Democrat Jeff Fee received 1,241 votes. 

Voters in Village of Hamden voted down a resolution for electric aggregation with a vote of 169-109. 

Voters in the Village of Hamden voted down a proposed ordinance for gas aggregation with a vote of 170-110. 

Voters in the Village of McArthur approved a current expenses levy renewal of 1.5 mills/5 years with a vote of 422-284. 

Voters in Village of McArthur approved a police protection levy renewal of 2.5 mills/4 years with a vote of 446-273. 

Voters in Village of Wilkesville turned down cemeteries maintenance levy renewal and increase of 3 mills/4 years with a vote of 34-27. 

Voters in Clinton Township turned down a cemeteries maintenance and operating additional levy of 3 mills/5 years with a vote of 390-330. 

Voters in Elk Township approved a fire protection levy renewal of 1 mill/5 years with a vote of 389-226. 

Voters in Harrison Township approved a cemeteries maintenance and operating levy renewal and increase of 1 mill/4 years with a vote of 260-193. 

Voters in Harrison Township approved a fire protection levy renewal of 4 mills/4 years with a vote of 274-182. 

Voters in Harrison Township approved a roads levy renewal of 2 mills/4 years with a vote of 255-195. 

Voters in Knox Township approved a cemeteries maintenance and operating levy replacement of 1 mill/5 years with a vote of 160-122. 

Voters in Richland Township approved a cemeteries maintenance and operating levy renewal of 1 mill/5 years with a vote of 388-294. 

Voters in Swan Township approved fire protection levy renewal of 1 mill/5 years with a vote of 260-182. 

Voters in Vinton County voted down a public safety communications system levy replacement for 0.4 mills/5 years with a vote of 2,790-2,579.
