Abby Gilleland Wins MAC East Offensive & Defensive Player of the Week

The Bobcats opened up MAC play with two victories over east foes Bowling Green and Miami in the convocation center last week.
Senior Abby Gilleland was a force for the Bobcats with 31 assists, nine digs, and seven kills in last week’s win over Bowling Green. In her match with Miami (OH), she recorded her first triple-double of the season in the 3-1 “Battle of the Bricks” victory. Gilleland had 39 assists, a career high tying 22 digs, and career high 13 kills.
With the Bobcats coming off a perfect record of 16-0 in conference play last year, Gilleland and the Bobcats are headed in the right direction if they want to repeat as MAC champions.
