Buckeyes unable to best Dragons despite impressive rebounding

It was a slow start to the game as NY led 4-3 after the first quarter.
Turnovers and missed shots plagued both teams for the second quarter as Fairland led at halftime 11-9
In the third quarter after a nice shooting streak from the Fairland Dragons Mackenzie Hurd led the team to a late comeback to only be down by six after three.
The Fairland Dragons went on to win 50-30.
Nelsonville-York shot a mere 25% from the field from the game, they were 1-11 from three. The turnovers for the Buckeyes was also an issue throughout the game with 14 turnovers.
NY rebounding was very good Wednesday night, they had 22 rebounds with Mackenzie Hurd leading the way with eight rebounds.
The Nelsonville-York Buckeyes girls have their season end and they will work in the offseason and hope to get better. For the Fairland Dragons they will be facing off against the New Lexington Panthers.
