PIKETON, Ohio (WOUB) — The Piketon Redstreaks had a successful undefeated conference season last year.

Head Coach Tyler Gullion says leadership played a key role in the team’s accomplishments, “everything rises and falls with leadership, getting these guys in aye this is your team now, you’re gonna have to set the example, you’re gonna have to be here early, you’re gonna have to work hard.”

The team now works in efforts to replicate last season after losing former quarterback and GridIron Glory Player of the year Levi Gullion.

Rising seniors are also rising to replace other strong leaders they have lost from the 2021 graduating class.

“One of my biggest goals this year is to help be a leader to build up players so we can make up for what we lost,” says outside linebacker and free safety Levi Stanley.

The team is confident in another game changing year. Piketon opens its season against the Goshen Warriors August 19th.
