Band with OU Roots Plays Letterman Show
Since forming at Ohio University in 1996, Red Wanting Blue has released nine albums and toured the U.S., averaging 200 shows a year.
On July 18, those years of hard work paid off when the band appeared on Late Night with David Letterman, playing to an estimated audience of 3.2 million viewers.
Athens County History Comes Alive In Two New Books
Two new books about Athens County history will hit shelves this week.
Ron Luce, executive director of the Athens County Historical Society and Museum has written a brief history of the area, titled Athens County, Ohio, featuring a diverse collection of images and stories.
Local historian Cyrus Moore is also presenting a new book about the Ohio National Guard, titled The Athens Maneuvers: The Ohio National Guard Maneuvers in Athens County, August 17-23, 1904, and the Remaking of the Guard.
