Three Separate Power Outage Incidents Left Thousands In The Dark

Power is back on for thousands of Athens County residents left in the dark for a couple of hours Monday night.

According to American Electric Power, there were three seperate outages in the county.

The power company says more than one thousand customers didn't have electricity around eleven-thirty because of an equipment failure.
348 customers in The Plains area lost power just before midnight after a tree brought down power lines on Lamaster Rd.

The earlierst outage happened around nine-thirty.

It left 25 customers on Vore Ridge Road without electricity for about two hours.

That outage was also caused by a tree falling on a power line.
